As part of BCDR-AAA's initiative to expand and develop the Alternative Dispute Resolution industry in Bahrain and the region, various training programs and educational intiatives have been conducted.

In association with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, BCDR-AAA have conducted extensive trainings for over 300 lawyers, judges, in-house councel, experts and professionals. Moreover, BCDR-AAA has conducted and hosted numerous mediation trainings in the region and beyond. The BCDR-AAA has trained over 300 mediators, of which 80 have been certified and accredited as mediators.

Furthermore, and as of September 2014, the BCDR-AAA started offering the Introduction to International Arbitration Programme to further increase awareness about arbitration and ADR in the region. The program has already trained more than 70 professionals.

In addition, BCDR-AAA has organized the Willem C. Vis Middle East International Commercial Arbitration Pre-Moot since 2011 (co-organized with the US Department of Commerce Commercial Law Development Program CLDP and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law), and it has sponsered many Middle Eastern teams for the competition since 2011.
